Accord on pricing reached for shipments to China in 2015 by Belarusian Potash Company

JSC Belarusian Potash Company reports on the accord reached with the Consortium of the Chinese buyers regarding a price increase to 315 USD/t CFR for shipments to China in 2015.

It has been reached in the course of prolonged talks; while all the major factors affecting the Chinese economy and the global market in general have been taken into consideration: declining oil prices, decelerating growth rates of the Chinese economy, deflation, etc.

Ms. Elena Kudryavets, Director General of JSC BPC has commented: “Overall, a pending Chinese contract affected the potash market adversely and put pressure on the market situation in other regions. Signing the contract later than end of March would be detrimental to the market. The accord reached by the parties will undoubtedly serve as a positive signal to the potash market, and will vitalize it, adding stability and confidence to the market players. We have convinced the Chinese partners that our pricing approach is justified, and that a price increase is mandatory, which is relevant in the current market situation. We believe that this event is another huge accomplishment of JSC Belarusian Potash Company”.

BPC defines the agreed terms with the Chinese partners as meeting the competitive market situation and finds them mutually advantageous and acceptable for either party.

The company expresses gratitude to the Chinese partners for fruitful cooperation and voices confidence in enhancing cooperation in the future.

Reorganized in 2013, Belarusian Potash Company is one of the major global exporters of potash that commits to the company specific sales strategy serving the interests of both the manufacturer and the buyers.
