On August 24, 2018, during the visit of the Belarusian Potash Company’s management to New Delhi, challenging and lengthy negotiations with the long-term strategic partner of BPC in India – IPL – were successfully completed. A new contract implying the supply of potash to the Indian market during the period from September 2018 until June 2019 has been signed at $ 290 cfr with 180 days’ credit. The volumes are comparable with the same period of the previous contract year.

As both parties understand the importance of this contract not only for the Indian market but for the whole world's potash market, BPC and IPL were able to reach a compromise. The upward adjustment in the amount of $50 is fair and reflects the current market conditions and actual perspectives. The conclusion of this agreement will undoubtedly become a new positive driver for the mineral fertilizers industry.

BPC is grateful to its Indian partners and highlights that the fundamental for such an agreement is a high level of mutual trust and respect, market coherence and a common striving for its balanced and stable development.
