The head of the state looked into the situation in the potash industry, in particular the BPC performance in 2015, and the overall performance of the potash market and BPC competitors. As per the report of Ms. Kudryavets, last year the company exported 9.2 million tons of Belarusian potash, 3.1% below the 2014 result. According to the International Fertilizer Association, export volumes saw a 5.7% decline in 2015. However, the market share of BPC in the global export mix grew from 18.8% in 2014 to 19.3% in 2015. The BPC Director General emphasized that in the course of concerted actions with JSC Belaruskali the company activities are governed by actual market demand, and BPC strives to exercise a balanced and reasonable approach in terms of production and sales, promptly responding to ever changing demand and maintaining a healthy balance in the potash market.
